"My figurative and narrative paintings are researching some space of freedom."
She left Corsica in 1992 and enrolled at Marseille's National School of Fine Arts, where she graduated in 1997. Afterwards, she has dedicated entirely to painting. Her works belong to figurative art's field, a sector in competition with nowadays medias imaging which is capable to give very fast plastic-oriented results.
Her canvas's themes are influenced from the lights of Corsica and its sunset's landscapes, pervaded and characterized by the interaction between its characters and their environments. The color-to-color register is contrasting, shapes and colors melt into each other to introduce us in a peculiar universe, a reality's evidence. Those ''moments of painting'' can't be translated into words. She catches these portions of her surroundings, these imprisoned (cause photographed) realities and this peculiar atmosphere to rebuild them in a canvas and allow us to access another atmosphere. Now, in front of this intrusive flow of images that traverses us everyday, painting founds its function: its role is to conduce us towards a new dimension.
