Marie Anglade

Marie Anglade is a painter and photographer born in 1981 who lives and works in Lyon, France. She often uses photographs as a foundation for her painting, but sometimes photography is self-sufficient. Just like painting can become autonomous from the original photograph.

The basis of her work: the others and what she sees in them. Most of the time, these models are relatives, because he can read a physical and mental history in them, that she can translate in her work. She also teaches sketches and colours at the home design school (CREAD); in Lyon. She gives painting, drawing, photography  and serigraphy classes in her personal workshop, “The Laboratory”
