Joan Llaverias, a catalan painter with a familial artistic tradition, was trained at Barcelone’s Fine Arts School. He is an abstract painter inspired by the informalist moves of the 20^th century and was selected in 1998 by the Pasarte Gallery in collaboration with the Revue Universitaire as one of the thirty promising talents of Spanish contemporary art.
