Who is Suarsa ?
Born May 10, 1977 in Indonesia, Suarsa comes from a very poor farming family. At 10, he made his first drawings on the wall of his room. Despite a fondness for school, his parents did not have enough money to allow him to continue his studies; he left home at the age of 12 to the sadness of his father who wanted to see him working at his side in the rice fields. He went to Ubud, where all the famous painters lives in the country and was hosted by one of them Wayan Sadia, who initiated the discipline of painting.
Interested in the talent of the young painter, he exhibited his paintings in galleries. Suarsa sold his first painting at the age of 13. He then continues to develop his art and exhibits at the Art Gallery of Sunari, selling every year more and more paintings.
After 8 years of traditional painting, then 8 years of abstract Suarsa is now present in many private collections and galleries around the world (Europe, USA, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Japan, Australia ...). He also owns three art galleries in Indonesia.
