Who is JP Malot ?

Influenced first by the biggest names of graffiti in Paris (Steph Cop, Meo, Jonone, Mode 2 and Futura 2000) in the late 80's and by a teenager grown in this environment, Jean-Philippe Malot managed to integrate a school of technical drawing and art for 2 consecutive years in addition to being active as a painter-bomber.
Too academic for him, despite the praise of his teachers, he left school to return to his passion and bomb walls and paintings to make up the decorations for a show Emoi et Vous (feminine brand), their front, the fence of Agnès B Gallery (for a graph exhibition) and obtained a degree in interior design by a second training that brings him close to it where he is passionate for many years. Always attracted to drawing and sketching by the great masters he questions himself on abstract and color by the work of Paul Jenkins and began to mix his culture of the street with paint on canvas. Today, while artistic director of Ministry Of Design for which he produced artwork, he paints by mixing techniques and make collages that are a reflection of urban culture with its own generation, a mix of icons magazines, of starlets and pop singers.
The juxtaposition of these images creates a kaleidoscope of our society. I use the glossy paper for our idols, the flashy color for the arrogance of our models, the fashion figures to denounce what disappears as quickly as it appears.
