Who is Elle K. ?

Following a schooling in advertising design and decorative painting, Elle K. went on to train at the Nicolas Poussin studio. While pursuing her fine arts studies, she devoted herself to the joys of illustration: she likes to depict people in everyday situations, like the Parisians she shows in the metro (in illustrations for the Metro authority's maps). At the same time her affection for people led her to take part in a project to decorate Paris's hospitals, following an exhibition of works based on everyday life in hospital. She has also given instruction to children with learning difficulties at La Source, the school founded by Gérard Garouste.

To escape the dullness and find some light, and also to get away from the tedium of a daily routine and live a dream, she eventually left Paris and set up her studio in Normandy.
